2      Are MSI valves greased in the open or closed position?
Summary: Valves must be greased in the open position. Please see section 1.0, step 29 of the valve manual.
Category: valves, grease

3      What is the recommended greasing pressure for an MSI valve?
Summary: Please see section 1.0, step 29 of the valve manual.
Category: valves, grease

4      Can the MSI valve be greased under pressure?
Summary: Grease fittings are rated to the full working pressure of the valve assembly and can be used to grease the valve when it is under pressure. In fact, MSI encourages this practice when conditions such as high temperatures, distillates/condensate, and frequent cycling warrant frequent greasing. This requires a grease gun/pump that can safely achieve pressures higher than the line pressure of the valve. It must be noted that conventional plug valves can only be greased in the open position. Only GreaSeal plugs exclusively available from MSI allow greasing in any position. Please see section 1.0, step 29 of the valve manual.

5      What temperature are your standard service valves, fittings, and choke rated to?
Summary: Standard Service Equipment: -20F to 180 F API Temperature Class P
Category: valves, fittings, choke

6      What temperature are your H2S service valves, fittings, and choke rated to?
Summary: Sour Service Equipment: -75F to 180F API Temperature Class K
Category: valves, fittings, chokes

7      Do you offer High temperature valves, fittings, chokes, manifolds, etc?
Summary: Equipment operated at either extreme of the temperature range will usually require special seals and grease. If temperatures above 130 F are expected then high temperature grease and HSN plug and resilient seals should be considered. If temperatures below 30 F are expected then low temperature grease and Buna plug and resilient seals should be considered. The presence of certain gases such as CO2 at high temperatures make use of special seal mandatory.
Category: valves, fittings, chokes, manifolds, inserts, adapters

8      What is the highest temperature rating you offer?
Summary: Dixie has rated equipment up to 350 F API Temperature Class X
