Process Improvement Engineer
Dixie Iron Works, Ltd. is accepting resumes for a Process Improvement Engineer position at our Scott, Louisiana location.
Duties:
- Improve existing CNC manufacturing by exploring latest tooling options.
- Work with tooling manufacturers to maximize tool life and process reliability by varying cutting parameters such as Depth of Cut, Feed Rate, Surface Feet per Minute, etc.
- Develop CAM programs for CNCs using Fusion 360 with custom macros.
- Implement a robotic arm from Universal Robot/Doosan Robotics to perform CNC Machine Tending Operations.
- Make key decisions based on data, resolve issues, and oversee projects to shape automated manufacturing success.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.

Graduate level coursework required in:
- Product Design Concept Development and Optimization
- Introduction to Robotics
- Geometric Modeling for CAD/CAM
